MedAccess Pilot Project Launches for Uninsured Residents with Hypertension and/or Diabetes

The Ministry of Health, Tourism and Sports is pleased to announce the launch of the MedAccess Pilot Project, designed to improve access to medications for uninsured residents of Anguilla living with hypertension and/or diabetes.

Beginning 15 June 2026, eligible participants will be able to receive hypertension and diabetes medications through participating pharmacies at no cost to them under the pilot project. To participate, eligible persons must register with the Ministry of Health, Tourism and Sports, and provide the following documentation:

• Government-issued photo identification (e.g. passport or driver’s licence)
• Proof of residency in Anguilla (e.g. Permanent Resident Stamp or Card, Belonger Certificate /
  Stamp)
• Valid prescription information

Upon successful registration, participants will receive a MedAccess Project Card which, along with a valid prescription from a local healthcare provider, must be presented at one of the participating pharmacies below:

• Department of Health Services Pharmacy
• Paramount Pharmacy
• Sun-eel Pharmacy

The project covers medications for the treatment of hypertension and diabetes only. Medical devices and supplies are not included at this time.

The MedAccess Pilot Project will operate for up to one year and forms part of the Ministry’s commitment to improving access to essential medication for diabetes and hypertension for residents of Anguilla.
